Bridge crossmember dragons. All of the wood for the bridge and benches is recycled Douglas fir from historical Lane Co., Oregon structures; mills, warehouses, etc. Nice, old wood! I worked for a year as a sawyer at The Timber Recycler, Eugene, serving mostly timberframe home builders, and got to cherry-pick the “rejects.” Lucky me! The copper collars on the uprights are from the top of my dad’s machinist’s chest; brass nails. | |
